It is a great challenge of the 21th century, how the participants of the information society in the public sector and also in the private sector can effectively handle and store their datas, so that it does not get into the hands of unauthorized persons or organizations. The datas protection in Hungary is regulated by the Info Act (Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information), while in the EU since May 25, 2018, this regulation is governed by the decree of GDPR (No. 2016/679). This decree replaced the data protection directive of 95/46/EC about the Persons Data Protection Regulation.
It is interesting that the GDPR was created in 2016, but just two years later entered into force in all member states of the EU, among them in Hungary too. Because Hungary is one of the member state among the other member countries of the EU, that is why all decrees and directives also with the regulations of the EU are have to be compulsory applied in Hungary. In this section I publish articles and studies about the Info Act in relationship with the GDPR. This heading gives places to the articles which are related to the personality rights of the entities and their datas protections too.
The topics of the data protection law are also published in the Labor and Sports Law headings in case they are affected by these fields of law.
